And I get it. When I was starting out, I spent way too long overthinking this exact question. I read forums, compared protocols, second-guessed myself, and honestly almost talked myself out of starting at all because I was so worried about getting the dose wrong.
Here’s what I wish someone had told me: there’s no single perfect dose. There’s just a starting point — and from there, you listen to your body and adjust.
That said, not everyone’s starting point is the same. Your body weight, your sensitivity to substances like caffeine or alcohol, and whether you’ve had any prior experience with psychedelics all play a role in where you should begin. Someone who’s 130 lbs and has never touched a psychedelic in their life is going to have a very different starting dose than someone who’s 200 lbs with years of experience.
